Impeach or Not

In the past several months I’ve watch the proceedings about the president being impeached. On Facebook I’ve also noticed the back and forth about voting for one party or another. A real political divide. If you are in the blame game, there is plenty of room to go around. Let’s go back and look at the last president, President Obama. The economy declined, race relation was good and then declined when Obama took sides against the police which started a decline in the respect of police officers. Christian value and especially National Day of Prayer was shunned as by no other president. And then $150 billion dollars was given to Iran without Congress knowing about it. Obama said he would bring change and we have seen it before our eyes. Now the same party is trying to railroad a duly elected president on what appears to be false evidence. Adam Shiff lead a hearing that was one sided and very partisan. Now we will watch for the next weeks with the Democratic party wanting the senate to do the work that they totally botched, with no concrete evidence. The point that I would really like to make is that we have to make decisions everyday of our lives. There are many influences that try to get our attention and make decisions that are based on tradition more than on our conviction. It doesn’t matter what political party or not you belong to, it does matter if you will put into or back into office people that have platforms that are contrary to God’s word, abortion being an example. Putting someone into office that will give us free stuff may appeal to some, but the end will result in socialism. It bothers me when good people talk about doing the right thing and standing up for Biblical truth and support what is contrary to his word. We need to pray about our convictions and the direction that will further God’s cause. This prayer needs not be a “now I lay me down to sleep” prayer, but one with power, direction and expectation. “2 Chron 7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Matt 5: 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray who persecute you, Matt 6:7 And when you pray, do not keep babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many works. Isa 55:6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call upon him while he is near:”
