More than 70 years ago, two little people were created, worlds apart. Helen Christine Wala was born in Germany, and George “Bill” Morris was born in North Carolina. In 1959, they found each other in Connecticut and became instant friends. Though often they were many miles apart, they never forgot each other. In 1964, they became sweethearts, and on July 23, 1965 they were engaged, and were united in Holy Matrimony on November 20, 1965.

The years have brought us many challenges and many miracles. Two of them were beautiful baby boys. The first was Peter George Morris and 15 months later came little Michael Anthony Morris. They have grown into handsome, responsible gentlemen. Peter married Robyn, and they gave us three precious grandsons, Peter II, Joshua, and Mitchel. Michael married Ruth, and they gave us two beautifull granddaughters, Heather and Michaela. We are now the proud great grandparents of nine great grandbabies; Olivia, Daisy, Pierce, Keleb, Boaz, Parker, Ryann, Robert and Novalee. God has been good to us. We are blessed on this 58th anniversary, and looking forward to many more together.

In 1990 we celebrated our 25th anniversary. Our two sons and their wives had a celebration for us with a lot of our friends at our church. I found a VHS and put together a clip of that celebration. Hope you enjoy. Click the link below to view the You Tube video.
