Where does the movie industry get their money to produce their movies?

Recently we have heard a lot about abortion with many and differing views. Social media has had it’s turn on voicing opinions and taking a stand for and against, sometimes ignoring Biblical principles. States are taking a stand, by passing laws that make abortion illegal and not funding planned parenthood with state and federal dollars. Now the film industry is wanting to take their business away from these states saying that unless these laws are changed the state will lose money and work for the people of that state. Some time ago I heard a preacher on the radio stating some stats about the film industry and how much of their money was obtained. Let’s understand that the movie industry includes all sorts of movies including Disney and the porn industry. After some research, I found that the local movie theater must send back 70%-80% of the box office receipts. That means that $.70-$.80 of every dollar is going to support more junk that comes out of Hollywood and give more money, power, to the stars that want to tell us how and what to believe. This preacher also stated that if Christians stopped attending movies, the film industry would lose so much money, it would all but shut them down. Voicing an opinion is not good enough. Action needs to be taken by not supporting the abortion and the film industry with our money.
