1 Timothy 2:1 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—
2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior,
4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,
6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time.

Meaning of Numbers: The Number 8

  • 8 stands tall as a sign of new beginnings, balance, and inner strength.

  • It symbolizes resurrection, circumcision, and the day of harvest, embodying the essence of new creation and victory.

  • In the Greek numerical value of Jesus Christ’s name, 888 echoes the profound connection between the Messiah and the concept of new order.

  • Number 8 in the Bible encourages personal growth, perseverance, and trust in the divine.

With only eight days left to the election, the meaning given for the number eight gives the appearance of a new beginning. Using the events stated in the Bible, we can see how significant it is to understand that a new beginning is not something that happens overnight. Using it to encourage personal growth and trust in the divine, we have to have an understanding of where we are wanting our growth to take us. Preparation for the final goal includes making a personal decision for Christ who will in turn give us the understanding of what the outcome of our actions are. In 8 days we go to the polling place and vote. Would your vote be different if you walked into the polling area with you Bible under your arm to use as a guide for your vote!
