Some days seem like they are God-ordained. Yesterday was one of those days. First I met a young lady, maybe in her late teens, that has never seen her dad as as far as I understand, knows nothing about him. I had opportunity to share my story with her. As some may know, or not, I met my dad I believe it was in 2000. I needed his information before I could be issued a passport to travel overseas for business. Before that meeting, I knew nothing about my dad’s side of the family. At the age of 53, we met and attended our first Morris family reunion. We felt at home and as if we had always been there. My dad mentioned that he had an uncle that lived in Pataskala Ohio. A couple months ago, Peter and Robyn met a young lady in a nail salon. After several visits, the question was asked where she was from. She replied that her grandpa was born in a town in NC that no one has heard of, China Grove. Peter immediately said “my dad was born there”. The short of it, her grandpa is my dad’s uncle. Her grandma Sides, kept up a book of genealogy of the Sides’ family dating back to the mid 1800’s. We met yesterday with her family and had a great time. I now have a book of the genealogy consisting of about 300+ pages. God always has a way of bringing his family together.
