One of the greatest gospels songs written is “Because He Lives”, by Bill and Gloria Gaither. The chorus: “Because He Lives”, He, God, ‘O Lord, thou art my God Isa 25:1’, “I can face tomorrow”, how many are in such a position that all hope seems to be gone and there is no hope for tomorrow, “Because He Lives”, ‘I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me… Isa 45:5’, “All fear is gone”, ‘Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isa 41:10’, with all the events occurring in our world today, don’t seem to know where to turn or who they can trust, “Because I know”, ‘By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me. Psa 41:11’, my pastor taught me, my Sunday School teacher taught me, my parents lived it before me, I read the scriptures and have a made up mind, I know personally, “He holds the future”, ‘Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Phil 1:6’, I don’t have to worry about what happens in any areas of my life because He has given us 3000 promises in the Bible that will guide us until He comes for His own, “ And life is worth the living just because He lives”, ‘13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Psa 139’, I have a purpose in life and life is worth getting up every day as a blessed person, all “Because He Lives”.
