Greet the Family Helen and Sparkey

The Bible uses the word “suka” to describe mankind. In the Greek/Hebrew, it mean The mind(I think), The will (I do), and The emotions (I feel).

On a day like today we come together to recognize Jr Carroll as he has enter into his final rest. We do this with great emotion. The shortest verse in the Bible is “Jesus Wept”. The scripture allows us to morn over those that are gone before us. Jr’s testimony is one of thanking God for his blessings and accepting Jesus as his savior. Jr will be missed.

We were first introduced to the Carroll family through Alan and Rebeca Rochell. Then Roblyn. Pastor Lv serving together in Northern Ohio Church of God. Through time, our son Michael met his wife Ruth(Carter) whose family attended the Elyria Church of God.

What a great family we have had the priviledge to be a part of for all these years;

Matthew 23:37 …how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings…

As we are gather here today, as a family, God wants to put his arms of love and compassion around us to console un in our grief.

Time – What is Time

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

Colossians 4:5-6 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Change: It has been said that we time by the characteristic of change. We know time has pasted by the changes that it develops in it’s path..

We see change in music.

We see change in clothing.

We see change in automobiles.

We see change in our bodies.

We see change in churches: and the list goes on.

The greatest change we will see one day is our address change. 

One day, just as with Jr, we will be moving into a brand new place.

Household as Family Unit

HEBREW bayith

בּיִת frequently designates the persons who live within a house, whether relatives or servants. Abram armed the “318 trained men born in his household” when he rescued Lot (Genesis14:14).Centuries later Joshua declared, “As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24:15). In both texts the term binds together people who share covenantal identity and destiny. Proverbs 3:33 contrasts two kinds of houses—“The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked, but He blesses the dwelling of the righteous”—showing that a household inherits either judgment or blessing according to its relationship with God.

John 14:3 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Just a few short weeks ago, Amy took her last breaths on earth. There is a young couple in our church that were trying too have a baby. They had already had one or two miscarriages and might miscarriage the one inside her currently. It was within an hour of hearing of Amy passing that I got a phone call from this lady that she had an echo of a healthy baby with a HR of 145. The significance is that one took there first breath in heaven and the other in the womp at about the same time.

Jeremiah 1:5 5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
